Linear scales MLI & MLR
General information
The linear scales usually consist of sintered hard ferrite or hard ferrite particles bonded in plastic or rubber material. Incremental scales feature alternating magnetized north and south poles. Special coding, such as vernier tracks or pseudo random codes, are also possible. Up to 3 tracks can be magnetized on one linear scale.

Sintered hard ferrite scales
The linear measurement scales are defined by a high level of remanence and accuracy. However, due to the hardness of the sintered material, the scales are highly fragile when subjected to impacts and are therefore the right choice for high-precision applications.

Elastomer scales with a magnetic yoke
The linear scales are ideal for long lengths and are also available as tape several meters in length if required. The scale material is applied to spring steel and is easy to handle and apply in the desired application.
