rotative magnetic scales with magnetic code
Pole rings are used as magnetic measuring scales for angle and speed measurement.
The pole rings are magnetically coded in-house using a special process. This makes it easy to produce rings with incremental tracks or even reference poles or various codes, such as vernier or pseudo-random codes.
New SMCO coating enables high accuracy with robust properties
Below you will find a further selection of different pole rings.
Sintered hard ferrite rings have a high remanence and exhibit a higher field strength after the magnetization process than rings in which the hard ferrite particles are bound in a carrier material.
The rings can also be used at high temperatures. However, a suitable carrier is recommended for mounting.

These rings are manufactured using injection molding tools. They are easy to produce in very large quantities and are therefore suitable for high-volume applications. Due to the manufacturing process, however, the distribution of the magnetic particles is not always optimal. The rings are usually produced as anisotropic rings, which also has a positive effect on remanence.

The pole rings with a coating made from a samarium-cobalt alloy are extremely robust and can also withstand aggressive media such as cooling lubricants. The coating is applied using a sputtering process and is therefore firmly bonded to the carrier – the ring with the stable and thin coating can therefore also be used at very high speeds.
