Sensoren basierend auf dem TunnelMagnetoResistiven Effekt
Our TMR sensors, which are based on the tunneling magnetoresistive (TMR) effect, represent the latest addition to our product line. Similarly, the sensor employs the MR effect in a manner consistent with that of the former hard disk industry. TMR technology was the most recently developed technology after AMR and GMR.
At our thin-film wafer factory in Mainz, we sputter our TMR stacks and manufacture custom sensors for specific measurement requirements. Our patented designs allow us to combine complex layers and TMR elements to create a wide range of characteristic curves, making our TMR sensors highly versatile. Our sensors perform well due to our innovative designs, optimal stacking, and precision manufacturing techniques.
Below you will find a further selection of different TMR sensors.
The TA903 is a position sensor based on the Tunnel Magneto-Resistive (TMR) effect. The sensor contains two Wheatstone bridges with a common ground and supply connection. They are shifted at a relative angle of 90° to each other. A rotating magnetic field in the sensor plane provides two sinusoidal output signals depending on the angle α between the sensor and the direction of the magnetic field. The function of these signals is +sin α and +cos α, i.e. the output signal for an application at the shaft end has a periodicity of one revolution per revolution.
The TA903 is available as a bare die for chip-on-board processing. For SMD processing, the TA903 is available in an LGA6B package or in a DFN8 package.

The TF sensors are magnetic field sensors based on the Tunnel MagnetoResistive (TMR) effect. The sensors contain two Wheatstone bridges. This enables the parallel measurement of up to two magnetic field directions (X and Y).
The sensor is ideal for measuring magnetic fields in a linear range of up to 20 mT. A typical application is the end point detection of pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders.
The TF952 is available as a flip chip for SMD assembly.
